Keep Your Handcrafted Pieces Beautiful and Long-Lasting

Ferrer Studio's natural wood conditioner keeps handcrafted bowls and boards nourished and protected.
How to Clean, Store, and Care for Wooden Bowls & Boards
Follow these care tips to maintain the natural beauty and durability of your wooden pieces, ensuring they remain perfect for serving salads, fruits, cheese, popcorn, pasta, and more.
Hand Wash Only
Gently wash your handmade wooden bowl or board with warm water and a mild dish soap.
Wipe Dry Immediately
Use a soft cloth to dry thoroughly. Avoid letting it air dry — excess moisture can alter the wood’s shape.
Apply Mineral Oil or Wood Conditioner Regularly
To keep your wooden bowl or board nourished, apply a food-safe finish every few months. You can use mineral oil, available at most pharmacies, or Ferrer Studio’s food-safe conditioner (beeswax + mineral oil blend) that provides a longer-lasting protective layer and enhances the wood's depth and sheen. Because it seals the surface more effectively, the wood conditioner doesn''t need to be applied as often as plain oil.
Avoid Soaking in Water
Never submerge in water; prolonged soaking can cause warping or cracking
Not Dishwasher or Microwave Safe
Heat and moisture can damage the natural finish — always clean by hand
Prevent Stains and Odors
Rinse promptly after serving foods like cheese or fruits to prevent residue buildup.
By following these care instructions, your handcrafted Ferrer Studio bowl or board will stay smooth, rich in color, and full of natural warmth for years to come — a lasting reflection of craftsmanship and care.
