Disorder

Handcarved Wood Sculpture | 2024

Sapele, Honey Locust, Brass, Pigments, Fishing Line, Magnets

6 x 6 x 4 inches

For millennia, nature sustained balance—adapting and evolving in rhythm with its environment. But the rapid acceleration of technology and human expansion has fractured that equilibrium. Disorder speaks to this broken relationship.

Suspended by nearly invisible threads, the central form hovers in tension—its pitted, cratered surface suggesting decay, fragility, and the remnants of imbalance. The arched structure and magnetic pull suggest intervention, but not resolution. The message is clear: we must shift the weight back toward Nature, before it slips further into collapse.
