Short Bio:
Roberto Ferrer is a Chicago-based woodturner and sculptor originally from Mexico. Inspired by his hometown’s baroque architecture and the natural beauty of wood, he creates bowls, vessels, and wall art that explore form and texture. His award-winning work, featured on the cover of the American Woodturner Journal, has been exhibited across the U.S. and resides in major collections across the world. He also teaches and demonstrates internationally, sharing his passion for woodturning.

Roberto Ferrer is a Chicago-based woodturner and sculptor originally from Mexico, where his love for art and craft was sparked at an early age. Drawing inspiration from the baroque architecture of his hometown and the natural beauty of wood, Roberto creates sculptural bowls, vessels, and wall art that explore form, balance, and texture. His work has earned recognition from the American Association of Woodturners, including the Professional Outreach Program Excellence Award, and has been featured on the cover of American Woodturner. With exhibitions across the United States and Europe, and multiple Best of Show awards at fine art festivals, his pieces now reside in major private collections. Alongside his studio practice, Roberto shares his knowledge through teaching and demonstrations worldwide, offering insight into his process and passion for wood as a medium.
