This bowl feels like a quiet moment captured in wood. Its pale surface reveals the delicate patterns of spalting—subtle, organic lines that appear naturally as the wood begins to age and transform. 
Handturned from a silver maple tree in the Chicago area, the wood was reclaimed after the tree had to be cut down for growing too close to a home. A small natural crack runs along one side—left intentionally as part of the bowl’s story. It does not affect the piece’s structure and adds to its character, a gentle reminder of nature’s mark.
This bowl is not food-safe and is intended for decorative use only. It makes a beautiful accent in minimalist, organic, or Japandi-inspired interiors—perfect for a console, shelf, or centerpiece display.
